FAQ

Holidays
K9POV services are available all year round. However, an additional 50%
fee is incurred for all services on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day Weekend,
Independence Day, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving and the day after,
December 24th – 31st.
We highly recommend reserving holiday services well in advance.

Reservations
We recommend that you make a reservation at least one week (much more for holidays) in advance in order for us to guarantee care for your pets. To make reservations you can contact us via phone (360)863-3090 or by using our Contact Us page . If you are a new client please take
into account that an initial interview and key exchange must occur prior to the start of any services.

Scheduling
While all walks are pre-scheduled to best meet your pups needs, we are a mobile service with multiple customers on our routes every day. As such, K9 P.O.V. will do our best to arrive at the agreed upon time.
However there will always be unpredictable variables which will effect arrival and departure times.
In situations where we will be arriving more than 30 minutes beyond the pre-scheduled time, we will contact you & make you aware of the delay. While very effort is made to keep our schedules, we are not able to control all variables. In cases where we are unable to make the appointment at all, we will add an addition walk to your pup pass as a free credit. This does not apply to unexpected weather related work stoppage.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to service. You will be fully
charged for services if you fail to cancel within 24 hours of scheduled services. Further, if we arrive
at your home for dog park excursions, individual or group dog walking and your
dog is not available or we are not able to access your home, you will be fully
charged for dog park excursions or dog walking services.

Payment
Payment is due prior to services that are rendered.
Payment for on-going Off Leash Excursions and neighborhood dog walks are also due at time of, or prior to service.
We accept Cash, Check and Visa/Mastercard.
A $20 fee will added for returned checks if services have already been provided.

Entrance Access / Walk Time
Our dog walking times start from the time we leave your home and ends upon our
return. Please make sure we have written permission to access your apartment if
you live in a doorman entry complex. Non-doorman residents are required to hand
two sets of keys for building and apartment entrances to K9POV. You
will be billed for the cost of any copies of keys we have to make on your behalf.

Dog Behavior and Health Care
K9POV requires all dogs to be current on the following vaccinations: rabies, distemper, parvo, and bordatella. K9POV reserves the right to refuse any services for dogs that, in its sole determination, are unhealthy, act aggressively, are undisciplined, evidence inappropriate behavior or who may otherwise be a danger to themselves or other animals or users.

Emergency Care
In the event that something should happen to your dog that requires medical
attention, we will do everything possible to obtain the right treatment for your dog
in a timely manner. In the event that we are unable to reach you in a timely manner
for whatever reason, we reserve the right to make medical decisions on your
behalf for the care of your dog. You will be responsible for any veterinarian bills
that result from getting your dog the medical attention that he or she needs.

Acknowledgment and Waiver
By utilizing our services you consent that you have read our client packet in its
entirety, agree and understand all of its contents completely, and acknowledge
that K9POV has limited liability regarding certain occurrences and incidents that may occur
regarding your dog. While we take every precaution possible to ensure that all of the dogs in our
care are healthy and safe, the client must recognize that incidents can happen whenever dogs socialize together and that we take no responsibility regarding these incidents.

Service Consultations
Before we can start caring for your pets, we need to obtain some vital information
to make sure we can provide the best possible care for them. We require our
clients to complete a Dog Walking or a Pet Sitting & Pet Care Service Agreement.
During the first free of charge consultation visit we will bring along the relevant forms for you to complete. During this visit we will go over the services and rates and explain our policies and procedures in more detail.
